Opentution is a project started by Gerold Neuwirt with the goal to have a direct democracy tool for the people. By now the range became broader by including articles from associations and companies.

The difference to other projects is the possibility to work directly on articles by a moderator or a moderator group that gathers people to improve an article. This means the power to change still lies in the hands of a few. Because of that it is necessary to have the second difference - competition. It will be easy to start a competing group and do the moderation better.
